How to get ready for fall - fashion and interior
Even if darker days and colder weather might not be too much fun, it’s not all doom and gloom.
The fall is the perfect time to make changes to your wardrobe and to start experimenting with different outfits. At the same time, fall can be a time where making changes in your home can do a lot to ensure that you’re happy spending lazy evenings on the couch.
In this text I’m going to share some of my best tips to ensure that fall becomes a time of coziness and enjoyment.
Buy new clothes
If you like shopping for new clothes and new outfits, fall should be like Christmas for you. Where the summer weather prohibits any experimentation with fun clothes due to the heat, is there anything better than putting on that one coat that you like? Fall is the time where big and solid colours really shine, so making sure that you have everything you like is important to look your best. There is an increased interest in tailoring jeans, and this might be the perfect solution if you feel like your wardrobe isn’t lacking .
That one tends to spend more time at home during the fall is a fact that is hard to disregard. Due to this it’s important that it’s cozy and relaxing to be at home. By doing a proper house cleaning of your entire house or apartment you can get ready to spend more time at home. If you’re looking to up the coziness a couple of levels LED-lamps with adjustable bulbs to allow for warmer light can be a great investment.
Another very important thing to make sure that you have is a good selection of coffee and tea. When the weather is anything but inviting, a good cup of coffee in the morning is one of the things that can motivate you to get out of bed and get ready for work. In the evenings after a cold commute having a good selection of teas that you like can be the perfect pick-me-up, while also reducing stress.
Get rid of the things you’re not using
But one can’t just buy new things without also getting rid of the old and the used. By cleaning out your wardrobe and allowing for new things to take its place you’re not only avoiding unnecessary clutter, but if you sell it online you can also get some money to buy new things. There are plenty of resources that one can use for this and a popular choice is facebook marketplace.
Another fun idea that doesn't require nearly as much work is asking your friends if they have some clothes to get rid of. This way you can trade your clothes with your friends, something that can be done into a fun night. We all know someone who could benefit from cleaning out their wardrobe (sometimes it’s ourselves) so this is more than likely going to be welcomed by the people that you know
