6 Affordable Yet Effective DIY Facemasks for Those Who Work a Lot

Many of us who have rigid daily schedules barely get any time to pamper ourselves and enjoy a daily skincare routine. Made from 2 simple ingredients found easily in your home, pamper your face with this formula that brightens dull skin and eliminates all the pollution on your face.   • 1/2 to 1 cup of boiled water (250 ml) 
  • 1 tea bag of green tea (use the lemon-flavored for extra additives) 
  • 6 mashed raspberries


  • Steep your green tea in boiled water for a couple of minutes and take the leaves out. 
  • Strain those leaves and put them in a bowl. 
  • Add your mashed raspberries in it and form a paste (a chunky one is equally fine).
  • Let it cool down and apply over clean, dry skin for 15 minutes. 
  • Wash it with cool water, use your toner, serum, and lotion. 


When specific patches of your skin become darker than the others, it is classified as hyperpigmentation. Hyperpigmentation is a common skin condition that usually is harmless.   • Rinse with cold water.

  • 1 banana (make sure it's yellow and ripe)
  • 1 banana peel
  • 1/2 teaspoon natural, unprocessed honey 
  • 1 teaspoon yogurt (full-fat version) 
  • A pinch of turmeric (powdered or freshly ground)


  • Gently peel the banana and mash it with a fork. 
  • Blend the banana peel a little until it’s a little chunky but not too much 
  • Add all the other ingredients. Your mask should look like a yellow paste.
  • Clean your skin and apply a thin layer on top.
  • Leave it on for 10 minutes and rinse with cold water. 
  • Tap dry your face and continue with your regular skincare routine (toner, serum, etc.).

Tired Skin 

After an entire day of hard work, contact with pollutants, debris, and spending time stressing in front of the laptop screen, your skin needs some time to calm down and relax.   • 1 teaspoon of raw natural honey 
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil

  • Mix all your ingredients in a bowl until one smooth paste is formed. 
  • Apply it on your skin and leave it for a solid 15 minutes. 
  • Rinse with cold water and tap dry with a soft cotton towel.

Dark Circles

Dehydrated Skin

  • 1/2 mashed avocado (newly ripe) 
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons of oats (you can use bran as well) 


  • Mix all the ingredients to form a chunky and thick paste. 
  • Leave it on your skin for 15 to 20 minutes until the ingredients dry out. Help yourself with a healthy snack of roasted and salted cashews while you are waiting. 
  • Rinse it off with cold water and let it air dry. 
  • Continue your regular moisturizing routine.
