HOW GOOD ARE YOU AT TYPING?

How Good Are You At Typing?

I fancied a brain teaser the other day and came across this really great Fenetic Wellbeing Typing Game the other day that puts your typing skills to the test. You get to choose from a number of categories, so whether you’re into music, gardening or the arts, you’ll find a category for you. It’s challenging and difficult but that’s the whole point of the game! It’s particularly rewarding when you find yourself in the top 5% of the people who’ve played the game.

The categories and words vary in their difficulty, with some of the categories like gardening and food particularly challenging! But if you’re up to it, I’d definitely recommend giving them a go.

Here is a full list of the categories that you can choose from:

  • Art
  • British Towns
  • Cities
  • Food
  • Garden
  • History
  • Movies
  • Music
  • Sports
  • TV Shows

Once you’ve picked one of the categories, you then essentially get 60 seconds to type out as many of them as you can. Once you’ve completed it, you enter your details in and you find out where you came in the leaderboard. You never know, you may even be in the top 3!

This game is a great way of putting your typing skills to the test and can also help you to perfect your touch typing if that’s something you’re looking at learning. Touch typing is the ability to type without looking at your keyboard, so it really is a great skill to have in your locker. Touch typists type around average 45-60 words a minute, whereas those who are unable to master the art can only type around 15 words per minute. I’m sure you’ll agree, that’s a lot of time saved!

How do you play the game?

Share it and compete against your friends

Why not turn this into a competition with your friends? Share it with them and separate the typing whizzes from the typing snails. We all have that friend who think they’re good at everything so put them to the test and see if it’s true! Comment below and let me know what scores you get!
