How to Look and Feel Your Youthful, Brilliant Best

Life has a habit of knocking us down after a while. There are all those responsibilities, there’s the daily grind, and then there’s the matter of our body, which seems intent on making us feel older. However, while this may be the standard path as we age, it’s up to us whether we walk this way. There are plenty of things we can do to remain looking and feeling youthful. If you’re beginning to feel the years, take some of our tips below -- you’ll be back to your brilliant best in no time.

When we’re younger, we’re continually exposed to new ideas, people, ways of being, and so on. Then eventually we fall into our style, and we seem to shut off the rest of the world that doesn’t fit in with our own ideas. While it’s important to put your flag in the ground (so to speak) and figure out who you are, there are advantages to staying curious and open to all that the world has to offer. It’ll help you to retain that sense of wonder that so many adults lose once they’re in their mid-twenties.

Stay Curious

Exercise and Yoga

A lot of the time, it’s not our sense of wonder that lets us down -- it’s our bodies, which just doesn’t want to play ball sometimes. We begin to feel a little heavier, we’re walking slower, we’re not as agile as we once were, and so on. However, you don’t have to settle for a less than stellar body, oh no! There are things you can to keep your energy and all-around mobility intact. Exercise, for example, is crucial -- it gives much more energy than it takes. To meet the stiffness of older age, take a look at yoga -- they say you stay the same you were when you first take up yoga. That’s big. There’s no getting around the fact that how old we look greatly influences how old we feel. We might feel youthful and vibrant, but if we’re exhibiting too many signs of aging, then we’ll eventually begin to feel our age -- or older. Thankfully, in this day and age, there are plenty of things you can to remain looking youthful. You use dye for your hair, botox for your skin, and makeup to cover those other imperfections. As well as your body, also take a look at what you’re wearing: does it make you look older? While you don’t want to dress like a teenager, dress for five years younger than you are, and people will believe it.

Looking the Part

Part of the World

If you ever feel out of the loop when it comes to trends and what’s hot and so on, then you might begin to feel like life has passed you by. But it’s never too late to jump back in! Go to a festival, listen to podcasts, watch whatever’s hot on YouTube, and you’ll be part of youthful culture, just like that -- you’ll feel part of the world.
