SS17 Lookbook: Oriental Influences
Celebrating unique and bespoke design is the foundation of the fashion industry, by giving fellow creatives a platform to showcase their work upon. Through support and sisterly love, I've teamed up with Fiona Kennedy of Kennedy Design, a Glasgow based fashion brand. The designs of which spoken about today channel an oriental origin, as well as the youthful and glamourised look that is often trademarked with Kennedy design. Being of a direct correlation to the interpretation of the designer, and not of trends Kennedy Design's SS17 Lookbook is absolutely magnificent in that each individual piece encapsulated a nostalgic timeline juxtapositioning, both western and eastern views of design.
Styling Up Unique Design
With Kennedy Designs, it has all the simplicity, and efficiency of festival fashion, wear accessories can be piled up. I'll be sporting my Kennedy Designs in sunny Benicassim styled up with my Dr Marten Vegan Clarissa Tie Dye Sandals, as well as my usual space buns and glitter festival makeup. But I've found these designs can be utilised in a variety of ways, for a high fashion date night, or simply a stroll on holiday. It's the perfect pieces to sport when you want to stand out. I've got my eye on the ostrich feather maxi trim robe on the Kennedy Design shop, which maximises on my ideal for a glamour, sophisticated and nostalgic look, that's both boudoir and street styled. Kennedy Design can also be found on Instagram for serious style inspiration behind Fiona's designs.
