London Fashion Week hit the ground running, starting off with J JS Lee and Haizhenwang for S/S16 I’m covering key trends for next season and the go-to looks.
LOCATION: LONDON, UK
J JS. LEE
Korean Designer Jackie Lee pulled out all the stops for candy fashion this season. Sporting lime peppermint green, pastel blue in contrast to selected pieces of navy and cream. A overall theme of deck chair-like striping.
The cuts are particularly interesting with asymmetrical waistlines, half high waisted, half dropped hem, alongside lots of pleating. Sleeves bell bottomed lined utilising relaxed 70’s cool against sweetheart Peter Pan collars.
J. JS Lee used small printed birds to create abstract patterns breaking up dark blue and cream and layering necklines and light shirts under dark pinafores.

From the underground rooms of The Hospital Club, Covent Garden showcased Chinese Designer HAIZHENWANG pre-fashion week showcasing Swarovski 2016 collaboration.
This seasons pieces oozed elegance with beautiful crossed back designs, kendo trousers and pearl trainers. The colour palette of the collection black, whites, scarlet reds and marl grey.
Ruffled chest pieces are styled up with long line blazers and pinstripe jackets. Whilst cut out shoulder crop tops are combined with lose trousers tied at the hip. Using inspiration from the East and explored proportions.
Due to time management I unfortunately couldn’t stay for the rest of the week and only managed to attend a few shows, but what did you think of this days collection?
I’ve included LG’s highlights of day one, two and three so you don’t miss out on any of the action!
As LG are celebrating their ninth consecutive season with London Fashion Week we’ve seen some amazing collaborations when looking after our clothes, Ben Allen has collaborated with them to produce some rainbow-tastic washing machines and snazzy pieces of art to help us take care of our clothes, as they take care of our appearance!
It’s definitely worth a read and learning about what these mad symbols on our garments actually mean, as a staggering 99% of people don’t know!
