All these trends are universal but this spring/summer we’ve picked out a more minimalistic approach, the key to effortless dressing is making sure each piece is thought out.
Stripes are an absolute classic and I picked these pieces for each kind of stripe, personally I favour a pinstripe but it’s important to invest in different colours as well as the classic monochrome. It can be worn horizontal like the breton stripe, very french and iconic. Or can be worn like striped pjs or Tim Burtons Beetlejuice look.
Opting for a casual boyfriend look, ripped jeans have been a trend that changed over night, whilst seen at last years fashion week, the shredded look is here to stay. Style up with some heels and a simple white tee and a small clutch for maximum effectiveness. Or for a feminine touch wear a shirt dress or pinafore dunagree style denim to look country-esque and bring in some grunge, to be worn with either plain or flamboyant textures.
Something I’ve been wanting to explore more, white looks clean, simple and classic. I see white and think of white flowy summer dresses but this spring, white is on everything, from flats to bags. Explore textures like white leather and soft cotton, you can create contrast amongst material rather than print.
