I’ve had a couple of requests for this post and thought it be about time to serve the best interest of my readers. If you hadn’t noticed from the endless posts I’ve been adoring my new Nica Grab handbag, it’s been absolutely perfect for carrying everything round for university and even fits in my DSLR which is a massive blogger bonus and something I always struggle to find. But Nica are fantastic for leather bags, in great colours, I have the tan and it’s a true autumnal tan hue, if you want to see it out and about see my Crunchy Leaves post!
The things I stuff inside change day to day, and amongst the rubbish of samples of perfume, about 10 lipsticks and chargers are the regulars of the bottom of my bag. Firstly it seems only sensitive to start with my purse, this ones from Status Anxiety and probably spoken about it more times that you would want to listen, but I’m not a big believer in bulky purses, I carry coin purses so I can see everything, take the cards I need, my passport and the money required, sensible and gives me more space for my next item… my phone!
Unlike my purses I like my phones big and bulky, I’ve been walking around with the latest model LG G3S for a few days, which is the newest model that LG has to offer right now, from experimenting with my G3 I’ve concluded the G3S is a lighter, more premium version. Fantastic for every day use, and includes all the great qualities that the G3 has.
The camera is astounding and serves well in dark conditions, having 8mp of laser technology differs it from other brands and uses lasers to identify focus and not contrast in light value. The case has a more sturdy and grippy edge, personally I prefer the smoothness of the G3 but it makes it more slippy, what I do enjoy is that the G3S is made for one handed use or generally smaller hands (And in the LaReine household have decided this is what the ‘S’ stands for’ whereas it’s predecessor is so wide it can only be operated with both hands! Definitely check it out here!
Next we have what I call, the little things, the smalls of the bag that include cosmetics, these are the things that change daily according to how I feel and what look I’ll be going for so this week I’ve been loving my Benefit Majorette, I’ll be doing a full post very soon but all you need to know for now is that it has fantastic packaging and gives me the perfect winter flush that I love seeing on other people.
Whilst I commute I have a lot of time spare so I always paint my nails, a habit I need to break but right now for me Essies As Gold As It Gets as nails are getting more festive!
I also always carry round a translucent powder to top up shiney patches and for the past few weeks I’ve really liked the soft and light powder by Clinique. Mirror wise I’ve been using this compact that I was gifted by LG with my Twitter and Instagram handle, how snazzy please?!
Finally for my makeup I’ve managed to find the perfect cherry red by Illamasqua in the shade Virgin. Frankly I’ll admit I usually carry about 5 lipsticks if I want to switch things up throughout the day, so much for minimalism!
I’ll always carry a drink, and recently it’s been a toss up of water, coconut water or Little Miracles, their drinks are delicious and have so many natural ingredients to keep me hydrated throughout the day, this one with Lemongrass tea and ginger is by far my favourite, I just wish they were more accessible where I live!
I’m a great advocate of sunglasses, whether its sunny or not I think it’s very important to protect your eyes, I’ve been dying for years to get my hands on some Raybans and now I have them they are an absolute staple in my wardrobe, sporting black (obviously)
I never used to be a watch person and now it’s become an extension of me and feel strange without one and as of late I’ve loved the look of a classic brown watch, this is the Classic St Andrews by Daniel Wellington, the collections on that site look so dreamy I would definitely invest in one of these, if you’d like to have one for yourself D.W have kindly given me a 15% discount code off your first order with ‘DWstephi’ for all my lovely readers!
LG have kindly given me the opportunity to give away their latest handset to one very lucky reader, I have the LG G3 if you’d like to see what I said on it, read it here!
